A Massachusetts native, Stuart Alford began his legal career in 1990, and focuses his practice in the areas of Landlord and Tenant Law, Bankruptcy, Immigration, Wills, Estates, and Trusts. He has successfully handled hundreds of cases before the Massachusetts Trial Court, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the U.S. Immigration Court, and the Board of Immigration Appeals.

Prior to entering the practice of law, Mr. Alford managed residential real estate holdings for private landlords, personally handling all Summary Process and eviction matters. Today, Mr. Alford represents residential and commercial tenants, as well as private, corporate, and public landlords. Attorney Alford brings his landlord/tenant experience to his current representation of individual landlords and municipal housing authorities and has utilized his experience as a landlord to aggressively seek the removal of tenants who were involved in illegal drug distribution and other dangerous activities.

Attorney Alford represents individuals and business in Bankruptcy proceedings and adversarial actions before the United States Bankruptcy Court. His experience and his knowledge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code has assisted his many clients in obtaining discharge from indebtedness while at the same time keeping most, if not all their property, including real estate.

Professional activities with which Attorney Alford is engaged include conducting immigration seminars for many community groups and seminars for first-time homebuyers on behalf of a major non-profit consumer credit counseling organization. Mr. Alford has lectured at various organizations regarding Bankruptcy law and Landlord's and Tenant's rights. Mr. Alford has appeared as the guest host on many foreign language radio programs in the greater Boston area, answering questions and educating listeners about their legal rights.
